Niche•ing

2 Aug

Here’s a quick, short slideshow about what I learned today on Day 2 of The Thirty Day Challenge about Niches.

Here’s a very distilled version –
A niche should be:

1. Something you’re passionate about
2. An area in which you’re knowledgeable
3. Subject with a broad customer base (not huge, though)
4. A place where there is a problem to solve
5. Linear

Recently, I heard Pat O’Bryan’s Unseminar series (I’m part of his Portable Empire University) and the above are what Pat recommends. He also recommends hanging out in forums and says that keeping your eyes and ears open in forums and on networks for those problems people are asking for help with is a good way to find niches.

The biggest thing I took away from the sessions –

“Every problem is a product.”

    Thanks Trends and Adomas!

Appreciate you guys stopping by and commenting.

Slideshare definitely rocks. I’ve not done any videos yet – too much noise around my house, lol – so slideshare is the way to go for me. Might attempt a video this weekend, though when my hubby is home and he can corral the kids outside or take them to the park. 😉

Gotta love ’em, the little buggers!
