It’s only day 3 and I’ve already fallen behind!

3 Aug

Well, here it is, only the 3rd day of the Thirty Day Challenge and I’ve already fallen behind. I’m still on Day 2. 😦

Although I’ve had a little trouble with downloading the videos for Day 2, the real reason I’m behind is because of this.

As soon as I get through Day 2, I’ll post my thoughts and then move on to Day 3. Hopefully, I can get through both of those plus Day 4 on Monday.

I had a moment yesterday to download the Market Samurai tool and it looks awesome and I did watch the Intro video but that’s it. How are you doing so far? I’ve heard on the forums that MS rocks! Can’t wait to dig in.

Hope you enjoyed your weekend as much as I did. Check out that link for details. 😉

Double Your Way to 1 Million

17 Dec

Well, that didn’t work so – – – try going here . . . http://la5338.aisites.com and see if that works. 😉

I’ve read this report and it’s really cool. I’m going to try the experiment and see what happens. I’ll document the progress here so stay tuned! 😉

Have a fabulous Christmas!

Yikes! Has it really been that long?

26 Oct

Sorry, guys! I didn’t realize it had been so long since I’d posted. Guess going to school full time and working in between everything else doesn’t leave me much time to keep in touch with you.

How’s everyone doing?

Well, I think here in the Pacific Northwest, we’ve gone straight from almost-summer to winter. It’s only 30 degrees this morning! But at least the sun is shining. 😉

I’ll be back soon with some additional stuff – I promise. For now, let’s talk about NaNoWriMo – that’s National Novel Writing Month. It begins November 1, 2007 and I’m busily getting ready for it.

Now, I am a little ashamed to admit I’ve never won before. I know, that sounds really bad – especially from a published author. I get really close but don’t quite seem to ever hit the 50,000 word mark. And this year, I aim to change that. I’ve been reading Chris Baty’s “No Plot? No Problem!” and it’s very, very useful for someone like me. (Chris Baty, in case you’re not sure, is the guy who began and now heads the NaNoWriMo.)

This weekend I’ll be sitting down in my office with the door closed and making sure my homework for next week is as good as done, if not actually done so that I can get off to a good start. Thankfully, I only have one class this quarter (which ends Nov. 7. Can you believe that?) but I have 2 next quarter and one of them is pretty heavy so it’s going to get more challenging rather quickly, I think.

If you’d like to check NaNoWriMo out, just click any of the NaNoWriMo references – I made them all hyperlinks.

Ok – that’s all for today. I hope everyone is doing well.

Another List of Cool Tools

20 Sep

Many of the tools I’ve shared with you in the past are available on both Windows and Mac machines but today, I’ll be sharing some Mac only programs. I apologize to all you Windows users out there and if I knew of Windows comparable apps, I’d share those. Unfortunately, I don’t. But if you do, please post them in the comments.

StickyWindows. This is a cool little program. It makes the edges of your screen “sticky” – and you “dock” open programs there when you aren’t using them so they’re not taking up space on your desktop. Now, you can basically hide open apps with the dock, but this takes a bit further so they’re open and very easily accessible. I love this program and I use it everyday.

Skim. If you read or use a lot of PDF docs, this app is a must-have. It allows you to make notes, comments, and much more on your PDF’s for future reference. It also has a bookmark feature, snapshots feature and even allows copying and pasting quite easily. Skim is like Preview on steroids.

PTHPasteboard. Where Skim is Preview on steroids, PTHPasteboard is your clipboard on steroids. It will remember 100’s of items you’ve copied and allow you to insert any of them with just a few simple clicks nearly anywhere you want to paste them. I copy and paste A LOT in my writing and design work and this little app speeds up that process so much, it’s not even funny. It doesn’t have a lot of fancy bells and whistles but it powerful nonetheless and like the other tools I share, I use it daily.

So, there you have it! Another segment of the cool tools series. I hope you find these useful. And please do post any Windows apps you use that are similar to these. I’ll be back soon with another Product Creation post, though I am still feeling under the weather so it might be late today or possibly not until tomorrow. We’ll see what the day brings!

Another creating products post is coming soon

17 Sep

Product Creation, part 3 is coming tomorrow!

Just wanted to let you know that tomorrow I will be posting the next piece in the Product Creation series. Also look for some slideshows and/or videos for all 3 modules soon. I want to give you the best chance possible to help you on the road to creating your own products.

So – don’t go anywhere! Look for that tomorrow and perhaps by this weekend, I’ll upload a free report on creating products for you. What do you think?

I Will Be There, Will You?

17 Sep

I’m writing because I can’t tell you to take part in Mark
Joyner’s “Word of Mouth Transformation!” experience.

Why not?

Because I haven’t seen it yet. No one has.

What I can tell you is that I, myself, will be registering
for it the moment the clock strikes 8PM on the east coast:

http://www.simpleology.com/p/womt/lsandrsn/

Why will I be doing this myself?

1. I just got off a live webcast Mark did where 1,800 people
from around the world (including some from Turkey, Iran, China,
and India!) listened to him teach some of the basics of his new
Word of Mouth technology.

If it’s a 10th as good as I think it will be it will be a
bargain.

2. Registration is only going to be open for a short time. If
you miss out you miss out.

3. I recommend you register, just to hold your seat, and then
decide later.

Get this – they have put up a full 1 year refund policy.

That means you could do the whole training and get a refund at
the end if you wanted it.

Or, you could register, then cancel a day later if you decide it’s
not for you.

So, I don’t know if this will be right for you (it sure will for
me), but what I *do* know is this:

If you don’t register, you probably won’t ever get the chance to
do so again – ever.

So, do yourself a favor and register as soon as the doors open.
Reserve your virtual “seat” on this roller coaster ride, and then
decide later.

DealDotCom & Twitter

13 Sep

DealDotCom

I just signed up for this. Thought it was pretty interesting. I found it at – Entrepreneurs Journey – originally which is a blog I just began following.

And speaking of following – I’m sorry I’ve been rather quiet twitter lately. Just had so much going on, I keep forgetting to update and post stuff. I’m now following some additional cool folks like Guy Kawasaki, Robert Scoble, Seth Godin and Marlan Sanders to name a few. I thought it was pretty cool that within 5 minutes of adding Scoble, he added me! (Thanks, Robert!) I appreciate that. I think I’m now following everyone who’s following me as well.

Feel free to add me if you’d like. There’s a post here somewhere with all my “social” accounts but here they are again:

Oh! I know what else I wanted to write about today. This coming Saturday, the 15th, Dr. Mani is doing his annual Heart Kids Blogathon and I’m going to participate for a 4-hour chunk of time if I can. Not sure what time yet, but probably later in the evening unless my husband takes the kids to the park or something.

I think that’s it for now. I’ll let you know a little more about Dr. Mani’s project tomorrow.

Sleep well! I’ve been up since 5:30 when my 3 year old decided it was time to get up. UGH! I’m *not* a good morning person. 😦 So, I’m off to bed here shortly.
