Well, here it is, only the 3rd day of the Thirty Day Challenge and I’ve already fallen behind. I’m still on Day 2. 😦
Although I’ve had a little trouble with downloading the videos for Day 2, the real reason I’m behind is because of this.
As soon as I get through Day 2, I’ll post my thoughts and then move on to Day 3. Hopefully, I can get through both of those plus Day 4 on Monday.
I had a moment yesterday to download the Market Samurai tool and it looks awesome and I did watch the Intro video but that’s it. How are you doing so far? I’ve heard on the forums that MS rocks! Can’t wait to dig in.
Hope you enjoyed your weekend as much as I did. Check out that link for details. 😉
Do weight loss and marketing have anything in common?
How is that?
Well, they both require commitment, they both require a system that must be followed and they both take time. This year, my plan is to go full tilt on both.
But it’s not all about weight loss, really. It’s more about a lifestyle change – exercise, healthy eating, mental clarity – they all play a part. So, to document what I’m doing for health, I’ve created a new blog called The Weight Loss Papers. You’ll find it at http://theweightlosspapers.com. And I’ll continue to track my marketing progress here at internet marketing & more.
I’ve just secured an internship to learn more about internet marketing. I’ll be able to implement what I’m learning there into my own businesses. It’s not a paid internship but I think it’s going to work out well nonetheless, especially as things really get cooking with my own business efforts.
This year in addition to marketing, I’m focusing on my writing business. I’m just now beginning a new marketing campaign that promises some good results. My mentor is sure I can make upwards of $10k per month very soon. And I’m so excited about that!
What are your goals for 2008? Feel free to post in the comments or post on your own blog with a link back here. Whatever you do in 2008, remember to HAVE FUN!
I’m here! Really. Somewhere . . . I think. I’ve been so busy with school I haven’t had time to post. I apologize! Next week, though, is the beginning of winter break and I plan to get all caught up. So stay tuned! I’ll be back soon.
In the meantime, take care and Happy Holidays!
Sorry, guys! I didn’t realize it had been so long since I’d posted. Guess going to school full time and working in between everything else doesn’t leave me much time to keep in touch with you.
How’s everyone doing?
Well, I think here in the Pacific Northwest, we’ve gone straight from almost-summer to winter. It’s only 30 degrees this morning! But at least the sun is shining. 😉
I’ll be back soon with some additional stuff – I promise. For now, let’s talk about NaNoWriMo – that’s National Novel Writing Month. It begins November 1, 2007 and I’m busily getting ready for it.
Now, I am a little ashamed to admit I’ve never won before. I know, that sounds really bad – especially from a published author. I get really close but don’t quite seem to ever hit the 50,000 word mark. And this year, I aim to change that. I’ve been reading Chris Baty’s “No Plot? No Problem!” and it’s very, very useful for someone like me. (Chris Baty, in case you’re not sure, is the guy who began and now heads the NaNoWriMo.)
This weekend I’ll be sitting down in my office with the door closed and making sure my homework for next week is as good as done, if not actually done so that I can get off to a good start. Thankfully, I only have one class this quarter (which ends Nov. 7. Can you believe that?) but I have 2 next quarter and one of them is pretty heavy so it’s going to get more challenging rather quickly, I think.
If you’d like to check NaNoWriMo out, just click any of the NaNoWriMo references – I made them all hyperlinks.
Ok – that’s all for today. I hope everyone is doing well.
I meant to post my next article on Product Creation for you yesterday but I totally spaced that and I apologize.
See, as you might remember, the kids have all taken turns being sick over the last 2 weeks so I’ve been a bit slow here anyway. Well, their cold caught up with me a couple of days ago and I’ve been sick and mostly in bed since Sunday.
Though I do feel somewhat better, I’m still not feeling great so it will be a few more days until I’m back posting with regularity. I just wanted to let you all know I have not forgotten about you!
This time being ill has actually been quite productive – I’ve come up with several more topics and ideas for my sites and for this blog. I’ve got everything written down (in mind map form) and as soon as I’m feeling well enough, I’ll be putting it all online for you.
So – I’ll see you soon and I do hope you all are feeling much better than I am! I don’t get sick very often but when I do, I’m down for the count, as they say.

I just signed up for this. Thought it was pretty interesting. I found it at – Entrepreneurs Journey – originally which is a blog I just began following.
And speaking of following – I’m sorry I’ve been rather quiet twitter lately. Just had so much going on, I keep forgetting to update and post stuff. I’m now following some additional cool folks like Guy Kawasaki, Robert Scoble, Seth Godin and Marlan Sanders to name a few. I thought it was pretty cool that within 5 minutes of adding Scoble, he added me! (Thanks, Robert!) I appreciate that. I think I’m now following everyone who’s following me as well.
Feel free to add me if you’d like. There’s a post here somewhere with all my “social” accounts but here they are again:
Oh! I know what else I wanted to write about today. This coming Saturday, the 15th, Dr. Mani is doing his annual Heart Kids Blogathon and I’m going to participate for a 4-hour chunk of time if I can. Not sure what time yet, but probably later in the evening unless my husband takes the kids to the park or something.
I think that’s it for now. I’ll let you know a little more about Dr. Mani’s project tomorrow.
Sleep well! I’ve been up since 5:30 when my 3 year old decided it was time to get up. UGH! I’m *not* a good morning person. 😦 So, I’m off to bed here shortly.

Ok – here’s my currant rant – partial feeds. I hate partial feeds! It’s annoying. I mean, I use a feed reader to make it easier and faster to read all the blogs I love and enjoy. But ya know, when you only offer a partial feed, I have to break my momentum to go to your page and finish reading.
Small annoyance? Hardly. My time is just as valuable as yours. If you’re going to take the time to write the blasted thing, have some respect for my time too and allow full feeds.
Really. It’s gotten to be that I’m deleting feeds from my Bloglines because even though I love the blogs, I just can’t take a bunch of extra time to go surfing all over the place to read them. That *IS* why I use a feed reader to begin with – to save time so I can read all the blogs I like. Not just yours.
So – please. Do your readers a favor and allow full blog feeds so those using a reader can be as efficient as they need to be. I doubt you’ll lose any readers over it.
But I bet you WILL lose readers over partial feeds. Like me.
